Entry Level Landscape Architect
About the role
Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Landscape Architect to join our site/civil department in our Leesburg, VA office. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects for clients within the commercial and government sectors, collaborating with outstanding professionals and applying the latest technology to solve challenging problems. Typical projects involve site/civil design for residential, commercial, and industrial site development, as well as capital improvement projects.

Responsibilities
- Site/civil development including grading design
- Prepare detailed landscape and hardscape plans and associated construction specifications
- Prepare layout studies, yield studies, and parking studies for commercial/residential projects
- Prepare development plans to support Rezoning and/or Special Exception applications
- Work on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans
- Conduct code research, write specifications, and coordinate permitting
- Perform field work, including existing tree inventories and site monitoring during construction
Requirements
- BS Degree in Landscape Architecture
- Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (required)
- Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, Illustrator, or GIS/ArcView (preferred)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills
- Previous internship experience

Pay
The projected range for this position is $72,000 - $74,500 annually, depending on skills, experience, location, and market conditions.
