Entry Level Interior Designer

About the role

The Phoenix office of SmithGroup is looking for an Entry Level Interior Designer to join our team. You will provide a full range of interior design services, including generating overall interior design concepts, formulating design presentation strategies, and making presentations.

Responsibilities

• Compile construction documents package for projects and deliver the design through documentation and detailing.
• Prepare, develop, and edit specifications.
• Select FF&E materials.
• Coordinate with consultants or subcontractors.
• Work to project budgets and schedules related to interior design component.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of interior design experience.
• LEED AP preferred.
• Understanding of space planning concepts and basic building code concepts.
• Exceptional graphic presentation skills with high proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUP, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign programs.

Pay

While we may ultimately pay more or less than a posted salary range, at the time of posting the anticipated salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 annually. You are eligible for a performance-based bonus each year.
