Entry Level Heat Treat Equipment Operator - Cullman

About the role

Join our team as a Heat Treat Equipment Operator at our Cullman, AL facility. You’ll learn about metals, the effects of heat on metal, and why quality is critical in an essential but little-known industry. Our processes improve parts for aerospace, defense, firearms, automotive, construction, agriculture, energy, and medical sectors—including components for the Mars Rover, airplane landing gear, and the jaws of life. We provide full training and a climate-controlled work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up parts for processing and inspection according to process instructions, work orders, and prints
• Provide backup support to heat treat technicians
• Degrease, clean, and unload customer parts
• Perform routine shop duties
• Operate fork trucks and overhead cranes

Requirements

• Minimum of five years equipment operation experience and/or a two-year industrial tech degree
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Equipment operating/industrial experience preferred
• Willingness to start as Heat Treat Support and train into the Equipment Operator role if requirements are not fully met
