Entry Level Draftsman
About the role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and plans for Plumbing Trade. You will work closely with team leader, Project Managers, and site personnel to ensure that all drawings comply with project specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD MEP, and other relevant software.
- Draft Plumbing shop drawings, sections, and elevations based on sketches, field notes, and design data.
- Revise and update drawings as per client or engineer feedback.
- Cooky with PM and construction teams to gather and interpret project data.
- Maintain an organized filing system of drawings and documentation for easy access and revision tracking.
- Ensure drawings comply with local codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Perform quantity take-offs and basic estimations if required.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings post project completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Drafting, or related field from an accredited university desired.
- HS Diploma required.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
