Entry Level Detailer

About the role

Nucor Building Systems in Swansea, SC, is seeking a detailer to create 3D models and drawings for custom building systems. This role involves modeling structural steel framing, wall and roof systems, generating erection drawings and material lists, and producing shop drawings for fabrication. The position also includes reviewing and checking detailing work for accuracy and assisting in upholding safety policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models of structural steel framing, wall systems, roof systems, and associated trim using advanced 3D drafting software.
• Produce accurate, construction-ready erection drawings and bills of materials using AutoCAD and/or Tekla.
• Develop detailed fabrication reports and shop drawings for in-house production teams.
• Review and check the work of other detailers to maintain high accuracy and design integrity.
• Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
• Training or experience operating CAD software such as AutoCAD.
• Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
