Entry Level Bridge Inspector/Diver

About the role

Artheon is seeking an entry level Bridge Inspector/Diver to join our team in Berlin, NJ. As a Bridge Inspector/Diver, you will work on a variety of bridge inspection projects, including NBIS, minor, and complex bridges for clients such as NJDOT and NJ Turnpike Authority, and other agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, perform, and supervise underwater bridge inspections in accordance with NBI Standards and all safety guidelines.
• Physical ability to perform field work year-round in adverse weather conditions and work around bridges, roads, rail, and tunnels.
• Utilize Microsoft Word and web-based software to update asset information and generate inspection reports.
• Utilize MicroStation or CAD software to generate field sketches.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Experience: Entry level.
• Interest in underwater inspection, bridge inspection, or structural engineering.
• Certification: Must have ACDE Commercial Diver Certification.
• Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office. Experienced with MicroStation or other CAD software.
• Knowledge: Dive safety planning and regulations. Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 40 hours a week with the possibility of overtime.
