About the role

As an Architecture New Grad in Philadelphia, you will impact the world by helping us solve real-life challenges. You’ll provide support to our teams on critical projects while fostering a culture of continuous learning and inclusion. You’ll be immersed in creating multiple building designs and drawings through freehand sketching and design software such as AutoCAD and Revit. Alongside senior designers, you’ll scale, model, and construct world-class work for global clients. Responsibilities

  • Support teams on critical architecture projects.
  • Create building designs and drawings using freehand sketching and software like AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Collaborate with senior designers to scale, model, and construct projects for global clients.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and inclusion by bringing fresh ideas to the table.
  • Engage with Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teams to maximize project outcomes.

Requirements

  • In pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong architectural design and graphic skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, and Photoshop.
  • Experience with performance modeling software (e.g., Ladybug, Honeybee, Energy Plus, WUFI).
  • Experience with rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Enscape) and Bluebeam.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Self-driven time management and organizational skills.
  • A portfolio of applicable recent design work.

Qualifications

  • Ideally, a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • A previous internship or professional work experience related to architecture.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $61,800.00 to $75,000.00 and will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations to deliver their best work.
