Job Summary
The Entry Cook role supports daily service execution and maintains high culinary standards at Latitude, a signature dining outlet at Black Desert Resort.
Job Specifications
- Onsite: Black Desert Resort – Latitude
- Shift & Schedule: Year-Round / Full-Time (Lunch shift)
- Pay Rate: $17.00 – $19.55/hour
Responsibilities
- Prepare food items: According to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Aid in daily prep: Chopping, slicing, portioning, and basic cooking techniques.
- Set up and break down: Stations before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness: Workstations, coolers, and storage areas.
- Follow procedures: Food handling, sanitation, and safety.
- Support service execution: Assisting senior cooks and chefs during peak periods.
- Monitor food quality: Freshness, rotation following FIFO standards.
- Aid in receiving and stocking: Food deliveries as needed.
- Communicate effectively: With kitchen team members to ensure smooth service flow.
- Report issues: Equipment, shortages, or safety concerns to kitchen leadership.
- Uphold standards: Black Desert Resort’s ultra-premium culinary and service standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience: Preferred but not required.
- Knowledge: Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Willingness to learn: Take direction in a professional kitchen environment.
- Efficiency: Work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Attention to detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
