Job Summary
The Entry Cook is responsible for preparing food items according to established recipes, standards, and procedures while supporting the overall kitchen operation at Latitude.
Job Specifications
- Onsite: Black Desert Resort – Latitude
- Shift & Schedule: Year-Round / Full-Time (Lunch shift)
- Pay Rate: $17.00 – $19.55/hour
Responsibilities
- Prepare food items for assigned stations according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Assist with daily prep including chopping, slicing, portioning, and basic cooking techniques.
- Set up and break down stations before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, coolers, and storage areas.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
- Support service execution by assisting senior cooks and chefs during peak periods.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and rotation following FIFO standards.
- Absorb food deliveries as needed.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth service flow.
- Report equipment issues, shortages, or safety concerns to kitchen leadership.
- Uphold Black Desert Resort’s ultra-premium culinary and service standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Willingness to learn and take direction in a professional kitchen environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
