ENTERTAINMENT USHER - CB & VR - PART-TIME - VARIED SHIFT

Starting rate: $16.00 per hour. Minimum age requirement: 21 years old.

About the Role

Sell and distribute event tickets from the Box Office or other locations as needed. Verify tickets and provide appropriate wristbands for seating. Assist with seating in the proper section and deliver fast, friendly service.

Responsibilities

• Box Office – Ticket Sale Staff:
  • Sell event tickets through various transaction methods (cash, credit card, comp, etc.) using the ticketing system.
  • Provide information about events and venue properties.
  • Respond to guest requests in a friendly, welcoming, and competent manner.
  • Accurately maintain billing and other required information.
  • Maintain Box Office organization and supplies.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
• Usher:
  • Walk guests to the proper section for seating.
  • Provide additional assistance if necessary.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
• Gate Staff:
  • Verify tickets and provide proper wristbands.
  • Provide additional assistance if necessary.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
• Customer Service Expectations:
  • Greet guests in a genuine, friendly manner.
  • Offer assistance to guests and team members as needed.
  • Provide closing remarks (e.g., "Enjoy the show" or "Let me know if you need anything else").

Requirements

• Must be able to handle cash and credit card purchases through a POS system.
• Must be customer service and team-oriented.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in extreme temperatures (hot and cold) while standing and walking for long periods.
• Must be able to read and verbally communicate instructions to guests in English.

Physical Demands

The role requires physical exertion, including:

• Long periods of standing and walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces.
• Recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities.

Work Environment

The work environment is a 24/7 operation with varying shifts, including weekends and holidays. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, depending on the event. Outdoor work may involve exposure to extreme weather and temperatures (hot and cold). Everyday risks or discomforts require normal safety precautions, such as safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations and traffic signals.

Pay

$16.00 per hour (starting rate).
