Entertainment Technician

Help create some of this year's brand-new shows, attractions, and events as a Live Shows Technician with Carowinds Live Entertainment Department.

About the role

Technicians with audio, lighting, networking, and show control backgrounds are needed. Positions include:

• Audio Engineers with troubleshooting skills, understanding of signal flow in live mixing, knowledge of QLab playback and show control, and experience with digital sound consoles such as Mackie and Allen+Heath.
• Master Electricians to oversee and maintain designated show rigs and control systems. Must be capable of troubleshooting equipment and software problems at a moment's notice. Knowledge of conventional and moving lighting fixtures, DMX addressing, and ETC Consoles is required. Knowledge of Video Walls, Pixel/LED tape, and Power Distro Racks is a plus.

Operate a variety of equipment, as assigned, such as golf carts, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, construction equipment, and motor vehicles. Work individually or in a team setting.

Requirements

• Experience working on several previous productions in a fully equipped theater or similar environment.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Good judgment and a commitment to safety.
• Ability to work and interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Passion and excitement about Carowinds.
• Availability to work some weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Pay

$15 / hour
