Enterprise System Security Admin Intermediate
Internal position open to regular NMSU employees only (temporary/term employees not eligible). Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
Individuals who have completed college or university course work at an institution outside the United States must obtain a complete evaluation of foreign transcripts, degrees, and other relevant employment documents prior to employment.
About the Role
Play a key role in defending university technology resources by identifying vulnerabilities, supporting incident response, and helping strengthen campus security. The analyst will work closely with IT staff, faculty, and students to help maintain a secure computing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the protection of the university's information systems and data.
- Support the implementation of security measures.
- Monitor systems for vulnerabilities.
- Respond to security incidents under the guidance of senior staff.
Requirements
- Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Special certification or licensure in information security.
Working Conditions
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment.
- Light physical effort, involving handling objects up to 10 pounds or standing/walking for up to 2 hours per day.
- No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
Pay
$53,165.80 minimum; salary commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Standard (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM).
