Enterprise Sales Executive (SLED)
About the role
The Enterprise Sales Executive (SLED) role within Datadog involves working with a best-of-breed product that solves real problems for customers. The role is part of a sales team dedicated to identifying customer needs and conveying the value of Datadog’s product through a defined methodology.
Responsibilities
- Prospect into State, Local, and Education organizations while running an efficient sales process
- Maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory including existing relationships and aspirational contacts
- Develop a deep comprehension of customer's business
- Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with SLED enterprises by selling value and ROI
- Handle existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into assigned territory
- Demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with challenges that defy easy solution
- Have an intuitive sense of necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation
- Identify robust set of value drivers behind all opportunities
- Ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience closing deals within mid-market or enterprise
- Experience meeting or exceeding sales goals of $800k+
- Proven ability to develop and own a sales pipeline independently
- Experience selling into state, local, and education organizations
- Ability to work in a hybrid workplace environment
Skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Knowledge of SaaS, IT infrastructure, or similar industries
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs
