About the role

The Enterprise RIA Associate Relationship Manager serves as a critical bridge between the Enterprise RIA team and the broader distribution organization. This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of strategic relationship management and internal sales enablement, responsible for deepening partnerships with top-tier RIA firms while embedding Enterprise into the daily rhythm of pod activity. The Enterprise RIA ARM ensures that IACs, ACs, and Market Leaders have the knowledge, tools, and support they need to engage confidently and effectively with Enterprise RIA clients—making it easier for pods to consult, convert, and grow within these firms. This is a proactive, creative, and entrepreneurial role that identifies opportunities to integrate Enterprise priorities into pod workflows, campaigns, and pipeline conversations, driving measurable activity and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership Support: Partner closely with lead Account Managers and Relationship Managers to support the strategic plan at top-tier Enterprise RIA firms. Coordinate conference and webinar planning, manage client communications, oversee meeting preparation and follow-up, and ensure recurring deliverables are executed with consistency and quality. Develop a deep understanding of partner firm platforms, operational processes, and decision-making structures to anticipate needs and respond with agility.
  • Pod Engagement and Enablement: Activate and align the internal pod structure (IACs, ACs, and Market Leaders) around Enterprise RIA opportunities. Lead regular touchpoints with pods to share firm-specific intelligence, highlight priority opportunities, and translate Enterprise-level strategy into actionable outreach. Serve as the connective tissue between Enterprise and the pods to ensure advisors receive a consistent, informed, and high-quality experience.
  • Business Development and Pipeline Management: Engage actively in business development by establishing clear goals and objectives in partnership with Relationship Management and Investment Specialist teams. Manage pipeline targets, support business retention efforts, and identify creative ways to integrate Enterprise initiatives into pod campaigns, blitzes, and territory management plans. Profile Enterprise RIA firms and their advisors, maintain a thorough understanding of the sales process, and document activity in Salesforce CRM for pipeline visibility and accountability.
  • Client Servicing and Internal Liaison: Provide hands-on client servicing support alongside the Investment Specialist team, including marketing materials, agreements, operations, RFIs, and client communications. Act as a liaison for internal inquiries, connecting distribution, marketing, investment teams, and the client experience team to deliver seamless service. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of Nuveen’s product offerings and firm structure to respond to ad-hoc client inquiries.
  • Market Knowledge and Product Fluency: Stay current with portfolio developments, financial market trends, and the full Nuveen product suite, including mutual funds, separately managed accounts, ETFs, closed-end funds, and alternative structures such as non-traded REITs and BDCs. Use this fluency to support education, promotion, and consultative dialogue with pod members and Enterprise RIA partners.
  • Relationship Development: Cultivate professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, approaching interactions with a customer service orientation and entrepreneurial mindset. Understand the unique needs of each Enterprise RIA firm and its advisors, positioning Nuveen’s capabilities as relevant and differentiated solutions.
