Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a Project Implementation Plan and Schedule.
  • Work directly with technology users and stakeholders to gather and document technology requirements.
  • Identify relevant technology requirements and applicable contract details.
  • Identify and engage relevant stakeholders through review of business units and personnel.
  • Conduct a Needs Assessment to define technical scope requirements based on discussions with stakeholders.
  • Support the development of procurement requirements for public safety software, hardware, and professional services.
  • Develop a final Request for Proposal (RFP) and Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the procurement of public safety technology and professional services.
  • Contribute to RFP development and serve as a primary author when required.
  • Manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Ensure project documentation and production support needs are addressed so that project deliverables provide the necessary support for organizational operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with customers, project stakeholders, and team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare professional documentation, presentations, Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Communicate project requirements, findings, recommendations, and deliverables clearly to customers and stakeholders.
  • Influence stakeholders and facilitate alignment on technology requirements and project deliverables.
  • Adept to changing priorities and project needs while maintaining project momentum and quality.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of customer-facing technology project management experience.
  • Experience working directly with technology users to gather and document technology requirements across at least three projects.
  • Experience on at least one project involving a police department or other law enforcement agency.
  • Experience contributing meaningfully to at least three RFPs, including serving as the primary author for at least one RFP.
  • Strong project planning, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong documentation skills with a strong focus on project and production support requirements.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with customers and multiple project stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to self-start, multitask, prioritize, and scale across multiple project needs.
  • Proficiency creating and working with Microsoft Word documents and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Flexible and adaptable team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • PMP certification preferred, but not required when equivalent project management experience demonstrates the required capabilities.
