Enterprise Resources Planning Business Analyst
About the role
Reporting to the CFO, the Enterprise Applications (ERP) Business Analyst is responsible for providing ERP support and guidance to the company across all departments. This person is the primary technical resource for the ERP system and will collaborate with third-party consulting and development firms to complete projects. The role involves technical assistance and issue resolution with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Human Resources, and Sales, working closely with the CFO and vendors to drive ERP process improvements, business systems projects, and directed ERP activities.
We are seeking a skilled professional to enhance operational efficiency through ERP system management, business analysis, and software development. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our IFS ERP system, analyzing business processes to recommend improvements, and developing solutions. This role demands a blend of technical ERP and development expertise, analytical skills, project execution, and business process knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Support, manage, configure, and troubleshoot activities and initiatives in the IFS ERP system.
- Collaborate with and direct third-party ERP support vendors.
- Develop and maintain interfaces within the IFS ERP system.
- Ensure compliance with change management procedures.
- Recommend and implement system enhancements that improve efficiency.
- Assist in developing reports, dashboards, and data analytics.
- Work on system integrations, APIs, and data exchange formats.
- Participate in testing, debugging, and deploying software solutions.
- Provide technical support and training as needed.
- Document technical specifications, workflows, and system configurations.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify needs, evaluate technology solutions, execute projects, and assist with process improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Business Systems/ERP role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience with IFS ERP system administration and support.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
- Experience with database management, SQL, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with system integration technologies and API development.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Self-motivated and proactive learner.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and execution.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
