Enterprise Epic Architect – Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle, Cosmos & AI

About the role

Virtelligence is seeking an experienced Enterprise Epic Architect to support one of our healthcare clients. This senior-level role will lead the architecture, governance, optimization, and strategic roadmap for the enterprise Epic analytics ecosystem, with a strong focus on Epic Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle, Cogito Cloud, SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench, Radar, BusinessObjects, Cosmos, and Agent Factory.The ideal candidate combines deep Epic analytics expertise with enterprise data architecture, cloud/data platform integration, predictive analytics, and strong technical leadership.

Location / remote-hybrid expectations: Contract, contract-to-hire, or permanent status.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise architecture and strategy for the Epic Cogito analytics ecosystem, including Clarity, Caboodle, Cogito Cloud, Radar, Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, and BusinessObjects.
• Define architecture standards, data governance, performance, scalability, security, and integration best practices for Epic data.
• Develop and maintain the roadmap for Epic analytics modernization and Cogito Cloud optimization.
• Serve as the technical authority for Epic data models, reporting architecture, and downstream data integration.
• Lead evaluation and adoption of emerging Epic capabilities, including Epic Cosmos and Agent Factory.
• Architect and govern AI, predictive analytics, and automation use cases using Epic data.
• Partner with data science and clinical informatics teams to operationalize predictive models within Epic workflows.
• Design integration strategies between Epic and platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Power BI, enterprise data warehouses, and lakehouses.
• Establish standards for data lineage, metadata, access controls, HIPAA compliance, auditing, and data stewardship.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years healthcare data/analytics or Epic experience
• 5+ years with Epic Cogito
• Epic Clarity and/or Caboodle certification required
• Strong experience with Clarity, Caboodle, Cogito Cloud, SlicerDicer, Radar, Reporting Workbench
• Experience with Epic Cosmos, Agent Factory or Epic AI/automation capabilities preferred
• Experience integrating Epic with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Power BI, data warehouse/lakehouse platforms
• Strong SQL, data modeling, healthcare data governance, HIPAA, HL7/FHIR
• Experience with predictive analytics/AI highly preferred
• Epic Gold Stars/Honor Roll experience preferred
