Enterprise Data Analytics Lead
Our customer in Rochester, NY is seeking an Enterprise Data Analytics Lead for a 6-month contract that will convert to a full-time position. This role requires onsite work 5 days per week and is available only on a W2 basis; 1099 and Corp-to-Corp candidates will not be considered.
About the Role
The Enterprise Data & Analytics Lead is responsible for the governance, integrity, quality, and lifecycle management of the organization’s master data across key domains. This role establishes data standards, policies, and controls to ensure accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance across enterprise systems. The lead partners cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Operations, HR, Compliance, and executive leadership to ensure master data and foundational datasets support operational efficiency, trusted reporting and analytics, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making. The role may evolve to include people-management responsibilities as the enterprise data and analytics function matures.
Responsibilities
- Govern and manage the integrity, quality, and lifecycle of master data across key domains.
- Establish data standards, policies, and controls for accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance.
- Collaborate with IT, Finance, Operations, HR, Compliance, and executive leadership to align data with business needs.
- Support operational efficiency, reporting, analytics, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 5–8+ years of experience in data governance, master data management, analytics enablement, ERP/CRM systems, or related roles.
- Experience with data quality tools and/or structured MDM processes (platform experience a plus).
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.).
- Experience working in regulated or audit-driven environments preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
- Experience with MDM platforms and data quality tools.
- Advanced Excel and familiarity with SQL or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Understanding of system integrations and data architecture concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a strong process mindset.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Strong project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building or formalizing a data governance program.
- Experience with donor management, fundraising, nonprofit, healthcare, or membership-based organizations.
- Power BI and SQL experience, including understanding of relational databases.
- Experience supporting enterprise system implementations or data migrations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft-based data and reporting technologies.
- Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and best practices.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $43.00 per hour. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent factors.
