Enterprise Cloud Architect
About the role
We are seeking an Enterprise Architect Consultant to develop the client’s Enterprise Architecture (EA) strategy, anchored in a value proposition to ensure EA focuses on driving the most critical outcomes in support of the organization’s enterprise strategy. This role involves defining the client’s Enterprise Architecture Standards—minimal requirements, rules, and principles governing the EA’s design and evolution to support the vision, strategic plans, and performance objectives. The consultant will also facilitate setting the direction for integrating information technology and programs across the organization, guiding informational architecture, and optimizing business operations for efficiency with an emphasis on knowledge sharing among stakeholders.
This is a 12-month contract position based at 2 Broadway, NY, requiring the consultant to work 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
Responsibilities
- Understand and document user needs to develop appropriate systems that address those needs.
- Identify user problems with existing systems and opportunities for reengineering.
- Develop and align Enterprise Architecture strategy with the organization’s goals and performance objectives.
- Define Enterprise Architecture Standards, including requirements, rules, and design principles.
- Guide the integration of information technology and programs across the organization.
- Optimize business operations for efficiency, with a focus on knowledge sharing among stakeholders.
- Develop capability roadmaps and use architectural modeling tools and constructs.
- Align technology capabilities with business solutions.
- Prepare project plans and work with programmers during design, development, and implementation to ensure user needs are met.
- Conduct problem identification, assessment, and cost/benefit analyses of alternative solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Five years of experience as a Systems/Business Analyst, including a solid background in user problem identification, problem assessment, and development of alternative solutions.
- Experience working with programmers during design, development, and implementation phases of projects.
- Experience in preparation of project plans.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture domains, including reference architecture, target architecture, governance, design principles and patterns, and defining roadmaps.
- Experience with architectural modeling tools and constructs.
- Ability to align technology capabilities with business solutions.
- Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and motivational skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
- Certification in TOGAF or a similar EA framework is preferred.
