  • Internal Application Development and Support:
    • Refine and integrate internal applications, focusing on stability and user experience.
    • Fix defects, improve usability, and maintain deployability of assigned components.
    • Support version control, code review, and release practices.
  • AI-Assisted Engineering Practice:
    • Use AI tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, documentation, and debugging.
    • Review and verify AI-generated output, ensuring understanding of the code.
    • Share productivity patterns and approaches with the team.
  • Collaboration, Security, and Documentation:
    • Work with IT on infrastructure, security, licensing, and hosting.
    • Translate business requests into technical approaches.

  • Preferred:
    • Experience with production APIs, Git, and code review.
    • Exposure to Microsoft stack (Power Platform, SharePoint, Graph, Entra ID).
    • Knowledge of cloud services, containerization, or CI/CD pipelines.
    • Coursework in machine learning, NLP, or agent frameworks.
    • Interest in construction, industrial automation, or manufacturing.
    • Experience automating manual processes.

Initial 90-Day Priorities

  • Complete onboarding to development environment, source control, AI tooling, and governance policies.
  • Learn existing system landscape and integration points.
  • Deliver one production API endpoint with authentication, documentation, and testing.
  • Take ownership of an internal application component and resolve defects.
  • Build an AI agent or automation with measurable results.
  • Document all work to enable handoff to another developer.
  • Identify two additional automation candidates with effort and benefit estimates.
