Enterprise Applications Manager
About the role
The Enterprise Applications Manager leads the strategic direction and lifecycle management of enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technology roadmaps. This role drives business value through solution design, security compliance, and integration strategies while managing vendor relationships and overseeing major application initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Defines and drives the strategic direction for enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with DAVIS Construction’s business objectives and long-term technology roadmap
- Continuously assesses and optimizes enterprise information systems by understanding evolving business needs, industry trends, and available technologies
- Oversees the full lifecycle of enterprise applications including selection, implementation, maintenance, and retirement, ensuring solutions are scalable, integrated, and business-aligned
- Manages and mentors the development of staff; leads performance reviews and participates in staffing decisions
- Gathers, validates, and prioritizes solution requirements based on stakeholder input, business priorities, and technical feasibility, with a focus on delivering measurable value
- Ensures all enterprise applications and integrations meet internal security policies and regulatory compliance requirements, proactively addressing risks in solution design and delivery
- Leads cross-functional application initiatives using sound project management practices, and executes change management strategies to support successful adoption
- Oversees strategic vendor relationships, contracts, and delivery performance for enterprise solutions, ensuring alignment with DAVIS’s operational goals and support needs
- Counsels and develops a high-performing team responsible for the implementation and support of enterprise applications, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Eight (8) years related experience of which three (3) years are managing enterprise application strategy, implementation, and lifecycle management
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., Business Analysts, Application support, analytics)
- Demonstrated success in: Selecting and implementing enterprise applications, Managing application portfolios across the full lifecycle, Driving large-scale system rollouts (e.g., ERP, HRIS like Workday, or similar), Proven leadership in managing teams and cross-functional projects (Business Analysts and Systems Administrators)
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and integration requirements
- Expertise in project and change management methodologies

- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math or related field, or equivalent relevant experience

Benefits
Base salary (or hourly) range for this position is $140,000.00 - $175,000.00
