Enterprise Account Executive – Public Sector

Responsibilities
- Develop new business with law-enforcement agencies, fire departments, municipalities, campuses, commercial-security organizations, and other public-sector customers throughout your region.
- Build trusted relationships with police and fire command staff, municipal leaders, emergency-management teams, procurement officers, security directors, technology leaders, and executive stakeholders.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, solution development, demonstrations, proposals, procurement, negotiations, and closing.
- Identify customer applications involving patrol support, surveillance, facility inspection, remote monitoring, campus protection, and emergency response.
- Navigate RFPs, cooperative-purchasing programs, contracting vehicles, sole-source justifications, council or board approvals, grants, and other public-sector purchasing processes.
- Develop clear proposals addressing product scope, pricing, deployment, training, privacy, cybersecurity, compliance, and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with legal and technical teams to address privacy, security, policy, regulatory, and community-engagement considerations.
- Establish successful customer deployments that can become reference accounts for future regional growth.
- Partner with pre-sales application engineers on demonstrations, technical validation, site assessments, pilot programs, and deployment.
- Collaborate with channel-development professionals when opportunities are supported through resellers, security integrators, or government partners.
- Represent the organization at public-safety conferences, security events, customer meetings, and industry trade shows.
- Travel regularly throughout the territory/region to support customer engagements, demonstrations, pilots, and deployments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Engineering, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of B2B or B2G sales experience involving public safety, government technology, physical security, emergency-response solutions, or a related market.
- Demonstrated success selling to state or local government agencies, police or fire departments, municipalities, campuses, or commercial-security organizations.
- Strong understanding of SLED procurement, government contracting, RFP and bid processes, cooperative purchasing, grant programs, and public-sector approvals.
- Proven ability to manage long, complex sales cycles involving operational, technical, procurement, legal, and executive stakeholders.
- Existing relationships with local police and fire leaders, municipal decision-makers, procurement officers, campus-security teams, or commercial-security executives preferred.
- Direct experience selling security robotics, drones, video surveillance, remote-monitoring platforms, access-control solutions, or other public-safety technology preferred.
- Prior professional experience in law enforcement, fire and emergency services, government, security operations, or the military preferred.
- Experience working with grants, cooperative purchasing agreements, contracting vehicles, or sole-source procurement.
- Familiarity with privacy, security, compliance, and public-engagement requirements for emerging technology.
Pay
Salary: $65 - $80 per hour
