About the role

Telnyx is a financially stable, profitable leader in global connectivity, building a private, multi‑cloud IP network and delivering hyper‑local edge technology via intuitive APIs. The company is expanding its enterprise sales team and is hiring Enterprise Account Executives to sell its full stack (voice, messaging, wireless, and inference) across the US Central region. The role operates in a “Pod Model” where each AE works closely with a dedicated Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to own the end‑to‑end sales cycle—from executive relationship building to production deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Own a named list of 30–40 enterprise accounts in US Central, focusing on about 10 Tier 1 accounts with $1 M+ annual potential.
  • Develop a workload thesis for each Tier 1 account, defining the production outcome, ownership, value, and win criteria.
  • Engage CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and line‑of‑business owners who control the budget.
  • Run the full sales cycle alongside the FDE: prospect, qualify, design commercial architecture, negotiate, and close.
  • Secure commercial agreement before any custom work—no free discovery or development.
  • Maintain disciplined POC process: executive sponsor, written success criteria, production pricing, decision date, and signed commercial document.
  • Expand accounts by turning single workloads into multiple, growing $500 K customers into $2 M customers.
  • Accurately forecast and keep the pipeline clean with no surprises.
  • Travel across US Central to meet customers in person.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of enterprise sales experience selling CPaaS, UCaaS, CCaaS, telecom, or AI/ML platforms.
  • Consistent over‑achievement against a seven‑figure quota, with individual deals exceeding $1 M.
  • Proven credibility with executive and technical buyers; comfortable in boardrooms and architecture reviews.
  • Hunter mentality with a self‑generated pipeline.
  • Consultative selling ability: can build ROI cases for CFOs and technical cases for VPs of Engineering, and compete against vendors like Twilio and Vonage.
  • Disciplined sales methodology experience (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger, SPIN) and proficiency with sales tools (Salesforce, Outreach, Gong).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong listening skills.

Preferred qualifications (Bonus Points)

  • Experience winning new‑logo deals with Fortune 500 or large‑enterprise customers in the US Central market.
  • Complex sales cycles involving RFPs, competitive bake‑offs, procurement, security, and legal reviews.
  • Working knowledge of SIP trunking, number provisioning, carrier networks, or AI/ML infrastructure.
  • Established relationships in US Central enterprise ecosystems such as energy (e.g., ExxonMobil, Chevron), logistics (e.g., American Airlines, FedEx), healthcare (e.g., HCA Healthcare), financial services (e.g., USAA, Charles Schwab), or regional markets like Houston, Austin, Chicago, and Denver.
