ENROLLMENT DIRECTOR, ST. MARY SCHOOL, MONTGOMERY COUNTY

POSITION OVERVIEW

Position Title: Enrollment Director

Position Status: Permanent, part-time, 20 hours per week September through May
June through August: 10 hours per week

Reports To: Pastor of Saint Mary R.C. Church, School Principal, Business Manager, and Saint Mary R.C. Finance Council Members

POSITION SUMMARY

The Enrollment Director provides strategic and day-to-day leadership for the school’s enrollment program, with a primary focus on attracting, enrolling, and retaining students in a nurturing Catholic elementary school community. This role oversees recruitment, admissions, family engagement, and enrollment communications, while working closely with the principal, pastor, faculty, and staff to advance the mission of Saint Mary Roman Catholic School and Agnus Dei Academy. The Enrollment Director serves as a welcoming and professional point of contact for prospective and current families and helps ensure a positive enrollment experience from initial inquiry through registration and reenrollment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategic Leadership
• Promote and support the mission, values, and educational vision of the school in all enrollment and family-facing activities.
• Establish annual enrollment priorities, goals, and benchmarks with a forward-looking strategy.
• Partner with the principal, pastor, business manager, and finance council to develop and implement strategies that support strong enrollment and long-term retention.
• Enrollment and Family Engagement
• Lead the planning and implementation of student recruitment, admissions, and retention efforts, including inquiry response, family tours, open houses, application support, registration, and reenrollment.
• Cook up enrollment-related marketing and communications that highlight the strengths of the school’s Catholic elementary program and build meaningful connections with prospective and current families.
• Monitor enrollment trends, maintain accurate admissions and retention data, and prepare reports and projections to support planning and decision-making.
• Enrollment Operations and Data Management
• Maintain organized enrollment records and databases to ensure timely follow-up and accurate admissions processing.
• Oversee the enrollment pipeline, registration records, and family communications to support a smooth and welcoming admissions experience.
• Support enrollment-related office procedures and collaborate with school staff to ensure accurate documentation and responsive family service.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience in enrollment management, admissions, recruitment, family engagement, or a related school-facing leadership role is preferred.
• Ability to appreciate and communicate a passion for Catholic elementary education.
• Demonstrated ability to set goals, manage priorities, and contribute to school-wide enrollment objectives.
• Ability to build strong, respectful relationships with prospective and current families and provide a warm, welcoming presence for young children and their caregivers.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with families, students, faculty, and parish leadership.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), FACTS SIS (Student Information System) and the internet.
• Experience in a Catholic school, parish, nonprofit, or other mission-driven educational environment is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
