AEL was established to serve the most vulnerable children ages birth to five and their families throughout the State of Arkansas through Early Head Start and Head Start. We provide transformational learning programs to vulnerable children within a childcare setting. We offer FREE Infant, Toddler, and Pre-K educational childcare/daycare programs serving 16 counties with numerous centers across the state of Arkansas. AEL is more than just daycare! We are educators, even as early as 6 weeks old we are implementing an education curriculum. We also offer a variety of child and family support services in a loving, caring, and safe environment.

About the role

Under the direct supervision of the ERSEA Manager, the ERSEA (Enrollment, Recruitment, Selection, Eligibility and Attendance) Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting in developing, implementing and supervising a high quality program in the Agency's service area, and assuring compliance with Performance as they relate to the social service, eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance components. The ERSEA Assistant Manager must be knowledgeable about the availability of Head Start/EHS eligible children and the policies and procedures of all programs. The ERSEA Assistant Manager assists with the implementation services by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, implementing, and supervising high-quality programs in the Agency’s service area.
  • Ensure compliance with Performance Standards related to social services, eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance.
  • Maintain knowledge of the availability of Head Start/EHS eligible children and program policies and procedures.
  • Support the implementation of services as required by the role.

Requirements

  • Associate, Bachelor's, or advanced Degree in Business, Accounting, Social Services, or a related field.
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent with equivalent on-the-job training and experience.
  • Experience in business information systems/computer-related field.
  • 1-3 years of prior job-related experience.
  • ERSEA Credential preferred.
