About the role

The Enrollment Advisor is responsible for the prospective student experience from inquiry to start. This position manages outbound and inbound communication directed to and from prospective students and assists them in the decision-making process regarding academic, schedule, time, motivation, and cost benefits of attending the university.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage prospective student inquiries in varying stages of their decision-making via telephone, text, and/or email to increase contact.
  • Build rapport with prospective students and assist with the initial portion of the enrollment process, partnering with Enrollment Specialists through the student’s first start of class.
  • Document interactions via Salesforce in notes, status, and activity reports.
  • Proactively manage the “Inquiry to Enrollment” admissions process.
  • Know the policies and programs within their vertical, admission requirements for specific programs, and provide accurate information to prospective students.
  • Take time with each prospective student to understand their needs and goals, helping them make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in university, college, and program knowledge via training and assessment.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor, engagement, and courtesy to provide a high level of service to each student.
  • Act as a team player by helping others and maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Be punctual to student appointments, meetings, and assigned schedules.
  • Manage multiple systems to handle the “student application file” during the enrollment process.
  • Maintain reasonable and consistent attendance to fulfill position requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working on a team and using “call center” software.
  • Education/consultative sales experience preferred.

  • Ability to use CRM, SIS, and Office technology in a fast-paced environment.

  • Intermediate use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Thrive in a diverse, fast-paced team environment while handling change.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize putting the student first in all actions.
  • Focus on achieving results consistent with the organization’s objectives.
  • Understand the university’s mission, vision, and objectives, aligning personal goals with university standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.
  • Work independently and foster a cooperative spirit within diverse teams in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Understand and follow regulatory requirements as a National University team member.

Hourly: $20.00 - $23.00
