Essential requirements
- National Criminal Record Check
- Working with Children Check
- Vaccination Category A
- Fit for Work Assessment
- Completion of qualification: HLT33115 Certificate III Health Services Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute/ Aged Care) or have completed 1 or more years of an undergraduate registered nursing student.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a RN/RM
- Assisting the RN/RM and EN with patient care interventions as directed
- Contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required
- Communicate effectively with patients and other health care team members in accordance with appropriate hospital/facility protocol
- Escalating to the RN/RM when changes to patient condition or observations are noted.
Skills and Competencies
- Current Authority to Practice as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), General with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Australian citizen/permanent resident or valid work visa.
- Demonstrated recent acute care experience as a registered nurse
WHS Responsibilities
- You must take all reasonable care for yourself and others and comply with any reasonable instruction, policies and procedures relating to work health safety and wellbeing.
- WWCC: Current Working with Children Check Clearance (where applicable).
- NCRC: National Criminal Record Check (This check will be conducted by the Health Service for Recommended Applicants only).
Staff Health
- Compliance with the Dominion Nursing Agency and NSW Health, Staff Immunisation Policy (Only for Category A Positions).
