Enrichment Instructor

About the role

Facilitate youth, adult, and/or adults-with-disabilities activities through out-of-school-time enrichment programs.

Responsibilities

• Implement out-of-school-time enrichment programs for youth, adults, and/or adults with disabilities
• Work with Adult Services and/or Youth Development Coordinator to obtain supplies, materials, and equipment needed for activities
• Cultivate an inclusive, safe, supportive, and positive environment for participants
• Communicate resources needed to make reasonable accommodations for participants with exceptionalities and special considerations to Adult Services and/or Youth Development Coordinator
• Assist with promoting programs within the community to encourage registration
• Follow all district safety protocols for in-person, on-site activities
• Ensure that district space is returned to its original condition once activities are complete

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Prefer at least one year of experience caring for children
• Follow policies on confidentiality and mandated reporting
• Ability to mediate, problem solve, and redirect students in a positive way
• Motivate, support, serve as a positive role model, and be energetic, creative, active, and friendly
