Job Summary
The High School English Teacher plans, organizes, and delivers standards-based instruction in English Language Arts to students in grades 9–12. The teacher promotes student achievement in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking through engaging and differentiated instruction.

Comments and Other Information
Newark Unified is offering:
- Transfer all years of service credit
- Contributions to retirement
- Masters: $1,000 in addition to regular placement, limit 2*
- Doctorate: $2,000 in addition to regular placement, limit 1*
- National Board Certification: $1,500 in addition to regular placement, limit 1*
*Payment for the degrees earned or new hire during the school year will be pro-rated
