About the role

Rappahannock Community College (RCC) seeks applicants for English Adjunct Instructor positions. This is a part-time position teaching in-person classes at our Glenns or Warsaw campuses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach face-to-face classes during the day on campus.
  • Participate in the governance of the academic unit.
  • Commit to academic excellence, continuous improvement through professional development, assessment, program and course development, and creating a collegial environment of civility, collaboration, and open communication.
  • Work with a diverse student population, including adult learners and at-risk students.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in English or Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in English.
  • Sufficient technology skills to work productively in an organization that utilizes significant information and instructional technology resources.
  • Able to teach face-to-face classes during the day on campus.

  • Experience within the discipline.

Benefits

Salary will be $793 to $1,463 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.
