Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Adjunct English Instructor include teaching varying schedules utilizing technology and employing various teaching methods in instruction.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in related discipline or master's degree with 18 graduate hours in related discipline
  • Prior teaching experience, especially at the community and technical college or secondary level preferred

Qualifications

This position could require teaching in both the State and Federal Correctional Institutions. This position will require teaching at the Cheraw, Dillon, and Marlboro Campuses.

Schedule

Class schedules will vary from semester to semester. Classes may meet in the daytime, evenings, weekends, or online. Faculty may be asked to work a split schedule (morning and evening classes) and teach dual enrollment courses in assigned high schools. Faculty may be asked to instruct in local prisons. Faculty may be needed for face-to-face instruction. This position may be needed at the Cheraw, Dillon, or Marlboro Campus.
