Engineering Test Support II - 3rd shift

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible to ensure that all the tests are complete as per the schedule including sample acquiring, testing and data entry for all development tests.
• Communicate immediately any abnormal findings on the product or testing equipment.
• Able to execute assigned tasks.
• Responsible to assist in any other task or job assigned by supervisor.
• Able to analyze work environment and make suggestions for continuous improvement for enhanced productivity, safety, or performance.
• Works under daily supervision.
• Follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish routine tasks.
• Adheres to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Competencies

• Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions/test plans.
• Average ability to use tools and operating equipment is required (micrometers, multimeters, power supplies and data logger, and other process and test equipment).
• Able to repetitively handle glass coupons, plates, and finished modules.
• Possess the ability to learn to use JMP and SQL applications.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of relevant technical experience in manufacturing or lab environment.
• 1 Year as an Engineering Test Support I at First Solar.

Physical Requirements

• Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift.
• Will climb stairs on an occasional basis.
• Will lift, push, or pull up to 27 pounds on an occasional basis.
• 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required.
• Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
• May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
• May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
• Able to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards).

Work Schedule

• 3rd shift - M-F between 12am-8:30am US

Pay

Estimated Salary Range: $17.84 - $25.00/hour

• 0% - 5% (On occasion/as needed for training, etc.)
