Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and labs in Electronics Engineering Technology and related fields.
- Support students through laboratory sessions and other academic activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain curriculum.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline from a regionally accredited educational institution.
- Experience in autonomous systems, educational robots, robot perception and sensing, control systems, mechatronics, robot learning, and familiarity with simulation software like IsaacSim and labview.
- Familiarity with Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs.
- Two years of teaching/curriculum experience, and strong online presentation skills.
- Three to five years of industry experience in electrical and/or manufacturing engineering, with ten to fifteen years preferred.
- Strong background in control systems, instrumentation, and mechanical systems for mechatronics candidates.
- Experience with CAD software.
- Appropriate technical certifications or licenses (if required).
Industry Experience
- Experience within the last five years in an electrical and/or manufacturing engineering field.
Required Skills
- Canvas LMS experience.
- Experience in a student-centric and hands-on learning environment.
- High levels of integrity.
- Able to work in a five-week course accelerated environment.
- Build rapport quickly.
- Strong listening skills, approachability, and ability to see multiple perspectives.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Comfortable with technology and its integration in the classroom.
Pay
$1,499 – $1,801 per course section. Compensation is determined by discipline, credential level, and course type.
Schedule
The position is part-time and flexible, accommodating a 5-week term schedule.
