ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY CO-OP OPPORTUNITIES

About the role

SharkNinja is a global product design and technology company with trusted brands Shark and Ninja, headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts, employing over 4,100 associates. The company builds an AI‑native culture, encouraging bold experimentation and rapid impact. The Early Edge Experience provides co‑op and internship talent with meaningful projects, professional development, community events, and a chance to showcase contributions to leaders.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and validation of next‑generation Shark and Ninja products and their software.
• Work hands‑on in labs, at the bench, and in code: building prototypes, test fixtures, scripts, and tools engineers use.
• Support debugging, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and failure investigation on real products and consumer data.
• Develop and execute test plans, document results, and turn data into recommendations that shape design decisions.
• Participate in design reviews, sprints, stand‑ups, and technical discussions alongside experienced engineers.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Firmware, Quality, Operations, Marketing, and Product Management.
• Gain exposure to the full product development lifecycle — ideation and prototyping through certification, mass‑production readiness, and post‑market consumer feedback.
• Own a meaningful project end‑to‑end and present contributions to SharkNinja leaders.
• Depending on the team, day‑to‑day tasks may include:

• Electrical, Embedded & Robotics: designing/simulating analog/digital circuits, board bring‑up, debugging embedded electronics, writing firmware in C/C++, developing control algorithms (PID, MPC) in Python/MATLAB/C++, working with robotics sensors (LiDAR, ToF, SLAM), supporting EMC/safety testing.
• Software, Digital & IT: building cloud/connected‑product software on AWS IoT using TypeScript/Python, developing cross‑platform mobile apps (React Native, Swift, Kotlin, Rust), front‑end/web development, testing AI‑powered digital features, coordinating technical roadmaps with Agile/Scrum/JIRA, providing first‑level IT support.
• Quality, Test, Safety & Compliance: designing/custom building electro‑mechanical test rigs, writing
