Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops new test procedures and measurement techniques
- Conducts tests and experiments to prove/disprove feasibility of design
- Gathering and maintaining specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.; performing computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas; plotting data and draws simple curves and graphs.
- Responding to and tracking issued work tickets
- Supporting facility, assets, and equipment to maintain, repair, modify, replace, and upgrade
- May provide work leadership for lower level employees
- Designs and constructs major units and equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education
- A high school diploma or passing score on the General Education Development (GED) exam
- Seven (7) years of full-time professional experience working as an Engineering Technician
Required Experience
- Five (5) years full-time hands-on experience in installation, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or testing of any major military system
- Experience in developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance; while assisting engineers in inspecting products, conducting tests, and collecting data
- Experience with following published user manuals and maintenance documentation
- Experience with reading, editing, and creating electrical drawings and system schematics
Qualifications
- Must hold and maintain a Secret security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship is required
