About the role
This position involves inspecting drilling operations, commingled production sites, and venting/flaring operations to ensure compliance with regulations. Duties include verifying production handling, documenting undesirable events, and calculating fluid volumes.
Responsibilities
- Inspect all aspects of drilling operations to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Inspect commingled production sites and venting/flaring operations to verify production handling.
- Inspect undesirable events such as spills or production losses, document findings, and determine cause and remedial actions.
- Document problems and determine corrective actions.
- Utilize high school algebra-level math to verify fluid volumes and heights for Federal oil and gas leases.
Requirements
U.S. Citizenship is required. Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication. Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship during onboarding.
Qualifications
- To qualify for GS-7: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-6.
- To qualify for GS-8: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-7.
- To qualify for GS-9: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-8.
- To qualify for GS-10: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-9.
- To qualify for GS-11: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-10.
Skills
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a US Government Motor Vehicle Operator's Identification Card. Must be able to operate 4-wheel drive vehicles for site inspections.
