Responsibilities
- Conducts continuous improvement activities to reduce the potential for product defects.
- Involved with problem identification, containment activities, action plan development and execution.
- Ensures that the test requirements for product testing and processes are defined and met.
- Setup test equipment and products in proper sequence per testing procedures.
- Performs tests on prototypes, existing, and competitor products for stated criteria involving mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical functions through ISO 17025 and Laboratory Scope of Operations.
- Uses various mechanical, electrical, and electronic measurement devices.
- Accurately interpret and document scientific notation, temperature, pressure, and other measurements.
- Assists in the assembly and fabrication of test equipment and prototype products per blueprint specifications.
- Supports manufacturing through troubleshooting activities.
- Maintain test-related documentation in, and support administration of, database environment.
- Prepare formal and informal test reports.
- Aid with the Generac Engineering Laboratory Audit and organization 5S programs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 10 Years of relevant work experience
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk and hear;
- Regularly required to stand and walk;
- Occasionally required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders;
- Occasionally lifts up to 25 - 50 pounds;
- Requires periods of sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
