The Engineering Technician III position is part of Daikin Applied's planned lab expansion, with hiring expected to occur throughout 2026. This role supports a company committed to diversity and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standard.
- Schedule and perform instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance.
- Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions.
- Maintain a clean work area and uphold standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with laboratory and project teams.
- Obtain necessary certifications such as fork truck training/license, scissor lift training/license, or refrigerant handling certifications.
- Provide mentorship and training to other technicians (senior roles only).
- Improve laboratory activities continuously.
- Implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair test units and facilities.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in HVAC&R or related experience.
- Experience related to mechanical test lab or field service (preferred).
- Fork truck training/license, man lift training/license, universal card, or R410a card (preferred).
- Mentorship experience (preferred).

- Ability to work at heights.
