Engineering Technician II

Job Duties

• Utilizes specialized test equipment to complete C5ISR communications, networks, and sensor systems testing.
• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, system layouts using Autocad and PDF formats to perform test procedures development, system testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.

Qualifications

• Required Education and Experience:
  • AA Degree in related discipline and one (1) years or more relevant experience with one or more shipboard C5ISR systems radio communication racks, Interior Communications(Alarm/Saferty/Warning), shipboard CGOne/Unclass/SIPRNET LANs, Surface Search Radar, Navigation Distribution system, Integrated Bridge System.
  • Or, High School and two (2) years related experience with relevant certification.
• Required Security Clearance And Certifications:
  • Must have an active Secret clearance on first day of employment.
  • Must have experience in one of the three C3ISR, C4ISR, C5ISR, and/or C6ISR Shipboard Systems Navigation Data Distribution System (NDDS) with Gyrocompass or Speed Log experience.
  • OR Sonar Mission System experience.
  • OR Seawatch and Moriah experience.
• Desired Skills:
  • Familiar with utilizing C4ISR/C5ISR Interface Control Documents, Block diagrams, and Functional Interface Drawings.
  • Prior experience utilizing Autocad.
  • Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) IA Level II - Security+ certification, or CSSIP, Network+, A+ or equivalent.
