Engineering Technician I

About the role

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician to support testing and validation activities in a laboratory environment. This is a great opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoy working with tools, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform mechanical testing using established procedures
• Install instrumentation, fixtures, and test components
• Collect and document test data using digital and analog equipment
• Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
• Work closely with engineers and technicians to communicate test progress and results
• Perform test teardown, cleanup, and equipment reset
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems and equipment issues

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience reading schematics and technical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience using power tools and shop equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a technical field (preferred)
• Experience with refrigeration systems (preferred)
• Knowledge of heat transfer principles (preferred)
• Basic electrical systems knowledge (preferred)
• PLC experience or exposure (preferred)

Ideal backgrounds: Engineering Technician, Mechanical Technician, Test Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, HVAC Technician, Diesel Technician, Farm Equipment Technician, Manufacturing Technician.

Pay

$24-$27/hour
