Engineering Technician I
About the role
This position requires a combination of technical skills and hands-on experience in cable fabrication, installation, routing, testing, and inspection. It also demands a strong foundation in electronics principles and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.
Responsibilities
- Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, troubleshoots, modifies, constructs, and tests electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and related devices.
- Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles to put equipment in operational condition and solve problems.
- Troubleshoots and corrects malfunctions using specialized test and diagnostic equipment.
- Runs tests, collects data, and recommends component or circuit changes.
- Provides operation/maintenance instruction to customer personnel.
- Performs preventative maintenance.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
- Participates in special projects as required.
Requirements
- A minimum of 0+ years of related experience.
- An associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- Must currently possess a public trust clearance level.
- Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance level.
- Must be a US citizen.

Benefits
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $19.32 - $23.08. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
