Engineering Technician/Designer

Duties

• Generate highway, bridge and site plans along with the associated details
• Aid technical staff in specialized designs
• Provide MicroStation and OpenRoads/InRoads support and analysis

Requirements

• A.S. degree or equivalent, or technical school in CAD/Drafting, or equivalent experience
• 2-5+ years of relevant experience is preferred, entry level candidates will be considered
• Training/experience in the use of CAD/Drafting software
• Proficiency in the use of MicroStation CONNECT Edition and OpenRoads/InRoads is preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Excel
• Knowledge in NYSDOT CAD standards and the basics of transportation design a plus
• Good planning and organization skills
• The ability to work as a part of a team
• The ability to be self-motivated
• The ability to communicate proficiently written and verbally
