Provide technical support for the Manufacturing floor, including electrical controls, mechanical systems, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for various types of control components such as photo-electric sensors, proximity sensors, scanning devices, relays, pressure/vacuum switches, transducers, valves and solenoids, pneumatic/hydraulic/electric cylinders, mechanical/electrical clutches and brakes, and various control circuit components.
- Understand the interrelationships between equipment in production lines and systems to provide sound recommendations to various departments within the company.
- Work with high voltage panels, including safety protocols, troubleshooting, and procedures.
- Interface with PLC, HMI, and VFD from various manufacturers (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Panasonic, BR, Schneider).
- Understand Relay Logic Control Systems, Ladder logic, Statement List, and Function Block/AIO PLC Programming.
- Identify root issues in programs during commissioning of new control systems/manufacturing suites.
- Edit and create new HMI Screens, PLC Programs, and VFD Configurations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of PNP and NPN sensors, including wiring configurations, applications, and troubleshooting methods.
- Learn and adapt to new software packages as required.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience is preferred.
- Experience specifically with Allen Bradley PLCs is highly desirable.
- Certification in Allen Bradley is a plus.
- Relevant Associate or Bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of experience, provided the candidate can discuss relevant school projects.
Schedule
- 1st and 2nd shift, Monday – Friday with occasional overtime support on weekends.
- 3–4 weeks of training on 1st shift, followed by 2nd shift hours of 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM.
- 6-month temporary position with potential for permanent employment.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hour. Individual compensation will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
