Responsibilities

• Collect information from homeowners.
• Maintain a log of projects and record facts concerning work activity.
• Prepare project reports and spreadsheets to track submittals, quantities installed, construction progress, and payments.
• Review project plans prior to contract advertisement to determine practicability.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Must have a valid State driver's license that is REAL ID-compliant.
• This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children. The agency must ensure that persons hired have not been found guilty of or pleaded nolo contendere or guilty to certain crimes.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties of the specific position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work.

Minimum Qualifications (GS-04 Grade Level):

• At least 6 months of general work experience and 6 months of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-03 grade level, such as:
  • Experience in trade or craft work where mathematics is utilized (e.g., measurements, computer skills with software for reviewing emails, keeping daily task schedules, or data collection).
• OR completion of 2 years of post-secondary study that included at least 12 semester hours in courses such as engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics.
• OR a combination of specialized experience and education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements. If education is used, it must include at least 12 semester hours in the specified fields.

Additional Information

• Salary is contingent on duty location.
• Additional selections may be made within 240 days from the date the certificate of eligibles was issued.
• Federal employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6, or 8 hours per pay period) based on years of federal service.
• Newly-appointed Federal employees may receive credit for directly related previous non-federal experience or active duty uniformed military service for annual leave accrual.
• This position is covered by a Bargaining Unit.
• Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized, requiring at least a one-year service agreement.
• This position has promotion potential to the GS-06 grade level, contingent on management discretion and regulatory approval.
