About the role
The Engineering Technician is responsible for building fiberglass splashes, operating hand tools, and measuring components on boats to apply to production.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with mill operations and product development to build splashes, hand laying fiberglass and finishing a build to follow tight timeline of predetermined splash schedule
- Cut fiberglass and drill holes/develop installation process utilizing hand tools such as: sanders, grinders, oscillating saws, drills, routers, flange cut tools, impact guns, etc.
- Ensure accuracy of precise measurements to position components on boats
- Document specific locations in installation components onto splashes to apply as a template for the production process
- Interpret schedules and communicate effectively with the production team, leadership, and management to ensure FRP parts are available to splash

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years boat building experience
- 1-3 years fiberglass experience
- Bilingual Spanish/English
