Responsibilities
- Performs routing to moderately complex technical functions in support of engineering activities.
- Operates, maintains, modifies, circuit tests, calibrates, and troubleshoots electronic or electro-mechanical components and systems.
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions.
- Conducts engineering tests to collect design data or assist in general research work.
- Diagnostics and isolates malfunctions, and makes necessary repairs.
- Assists in the development of electronic equipment.
- Repairs or modifies cables and equipment returned by operational users or by personnel in associated test and development laboratories.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
- Participates in special projects as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate's Degree in a related technical discipline preferred.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred.
- Experience fabricating, maintaining and repairing electronic components for the United States Navy.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level U.S. Government Security Clearance.
- Willing to travel to various work sites, including OCONUS may be required.
