Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, service, troubleshoot, and test prototype and production hardware with engineering team's guidance
• Thoroughly document corresponding work
• Create and implement custom tools, fixtures, and processes to improve assembly, testing, and analysis efficiency
• Design and fabricate test machines to test various aspects of our products
• Run and collect data from the product test machines
• Analyze failures, tear down, reassemble, and repair electromechanical systems

Qualifications

• 3+ years engineering technician experience, or equivalent hands-on hardware assembly/diagnostics experience
• Skills with hand tools, manual machine tools, soldering, wiring, and additive/subtractive manufacturing for rapid prototyping
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including technical writing and documentation skills
• Collaborative — works cohesively across a cross-functional team
• Methodical problem-solver, including with poorly defined problems
• Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace
• PREFERRED — SMT soldering and PCBA rework
• PREFERRED — CNC, welding, and advanced fabrication
