Responsibilities
- Assemble, modify, service, troubleshoot, and test prototype and production hardware with engineering team's guidance
- Thoroughly document corresponding work
- Create and implement custom tools, fixtures, and processes to improve assembly, testing, and analysis efficiency
- Design and fabricate test machines to test various aspects of our products
- Run and collect data from the product test machines
- Analyze failures, tear down, reassemble, and repair electromechanical systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years engineering technician experience, or equivalent hands-on hardware assembly/diagnostics experience
- Skills with hand tools, manual machine tools, soldering, wiring, and additive/subtractive manufacturing for rapid prototyping
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including technical writing and documentation skills
- Collaborative — works cohesively across a cross-functional team
- Methodical problem-solver, including with poorly defined problems
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace
- PREFERRED — SMT soldering and PCBA rework
- PREFERRED — CNC, welding, and advanced fabrication
