Position Overview The Engineering Technician is responsible for building, assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and improving complex mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems within a cleanroom manufacturing environment. This role supports production, engineering testing, process improvements, quality initiatives, and new product development activities. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work from blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Key Responsibilities Assembly & Testing Build, assemble, and test complex mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systemsPerform inspections, testing, and troubleshooting activities throughout the manufacturing processRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawingsUtilize hand tools, test equipment, and computer systems to support assembly and testing operationsDiagnose and resolve technical issues during assembly and test phases Production & Manufacturing Support Manufacture and deliver high-quality systems according to established procedures and specificationsOversee products through the complete assembly-to-test processCoordinate assigned activities based on production schedules and prioritiesMaintain proper control and utilization of tools, materials, and equipmentSupport pilot production and prototype builds as products transition into volume manufacturing Quality & Continuous Improvement Ensure all products meet established quality standards and specificationsIdentify recurring manufacturing or product issues and assist in resolution effortsContribute to quality improvements and process optimization initiativesSupport Lean Manufacturing programs including 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM)Assist with the development and improvement of technical documentation, processes, and production records Teamwork & Technical Leadership Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting and problem-solvingShare knowledge and expertise with team membersCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teamsParticipate in departmental improvement projects and cross-functional initiatives Required Qualifications Mechanical assembly and testing experienceStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsElectrical or electro-mechanical experience including wiring and basic electrical diagnosticsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsExperience using hand tools and test equipmentStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work in a cleanroom manufacturing environmentBasic computer skills for documentation and data entry Education & Experience Preferred Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Certification in:EngineeringEngineering TechnologyChemical TechnologyRelated Technical Discipline OR Equivalent manufacturing or technical experience Recent graduates, manufacturing interns, and co-op candidates are encouraged to apply. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
