Essential Functions

  • Demonstrate commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
  • Execute engineering test plans with minimal supervision (reliability, endurance, environmental, and accuracy testing).
  • Conduct live-fire testing and advanced functional evaluations.
  • Assemble, modify, and configure test articles per engineering direction.
  • Troubleshoot firearm and component failures and document root causes.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize test data for engineering review.
  • Support development and validation of new test fixtures and methods.
  • Interface with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality teams during testing.
  • Train and mentor Technician I personnel.
  • Ensure test activities comply with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • High school diploma or GED required (technical certificate or coursework preferred); Associate’s Degree in engineering technology, manufacturing, or related field preferred, or a combination of related experience, education and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 2–5 years of relevant test, manufacturing, or firearms experience.
  • Strong understanding of firearm systems and operating principles.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools and test equipment.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with endurance, environmental, or military-style test protocols.
  • Basic data analysis and reporting experience.
  • Exposure to root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in accordance with our Company Values.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.

Qualifications
