Essential Functions
- Demonstrate commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
- Execute engineering test plans with minimal supervision (reliability, endurance, environmental, and accuracy testing).
- Conduct live-fire testing and advanced functional evaluations.
- Assemble, modify, and configure test articles per engineering direction.
- Troubleshoot firearm and component failures and document root causes.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize test data for engineering review.
- Support development and validation of new test fixtures and methods.
- Interface with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality teams during testing.
- Train and mentor Technician I personnel.
- Ensure test activities comply with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- High school diploma or GED required (technical certificate or coursework preferred); Associate’s Degree in engineering technology, manufacturing, or related field preferred, or a combination of related experience, education and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- 2–5 years of relevant test, manufacturing, or firearms experience.
- Strong understanding of firearm systems and operating principles.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools and test equipment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience with endurance, environmental, or military-style test protocols.
- Basic data analysis and reporting experience.
- Exposure to root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work in accordance with our Company Values.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the workday.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
