About the role
We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Wastewater Lead to lead and deliver projects for key municipal clients. In this role, you will leverage your project management, technical experience, and leadership skills to optimize team performance and consistently deliver high-quality technical solutions. You’ll work on infrastructure projects, evaluating and selecting treatment approaches, planning and designing treatment systems, and improving the resiliency of clients’ assets. This position supports projects across Georgia and the Southeast region, with opportunities to engage in projects throughout North America and globally.
The Wastewater Lead role is based in our Atlanta, GA, office and involves working on some of the largest water infrastructure projects in the Southeast market, serving municipal, federal, industrial, and other clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead the project management and technical delivery of projects through all phases—planning, execution, and closeout—consistent with established processes to meet scope, schedule, budget, and contract requirements.
- Support Jacobs’ One Water initiative, specifically Water Resource Recovery Solutions for the Americas East Region.
- Drive the integration of Digital Water Solutions and Climate Resilience across Jacobs’ Growth & Sales efforts.
- Support the Americas Southeast Geography Water Market growth strategy in the wastewater practice.
- Contribute to the development of a Water Market strategy that delivers leading-edge technology solutions while expanding and diversifying our client base.
- Identify and participate in business development activities, including client relationship development, proposal preparation, and presentations to secure new contracts.
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent by coaching, mentoring, and training team members, and actively participating in global Communities of Practice to share technical knowledge.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. degree in a related engineering, science, or applicable discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 10+ years of progressive responsibility in engineering and engineering consulting leadership roles, with experience on Water, Wastewater, and related water market projects.
- Strong understanding of technical solutions and project delivery, with a proven history of leading teams to meet client expectations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, self-motivation, teamwork, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships that result in new and repeat consulting work.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $170,000.00 to $230,000.00. Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
This role follows a hybrid working policy, allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
